Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

The Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) is for an entry-level Cisco technician who can install, maintain and troubleshoot a small Cisco network.

With CCENT certification training at New Horizons Sacramento, the student will learn:

  • Ethernet LANs
  • Wireless LANs
  • Wide area networks (WAN)
  • Networking and router basics.

The Cisco CCENT certification requires a single exam.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Take the next step in your Cisco career by earning one or more CCNA certifications depending on your Cisco specialty areas.

Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching

Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching certification demonstrates your knowledge to deploy, maintain, secure and operate a medium-sized network using Cisco technologies.

To earn your CCNA Routing and Switching you can either take a single exam or two exams.

Cisco CCNP Security

The Cisco CCNP Security certification program is for Cisco engineers responsible for Security in Routers, Switches, Networking devices and appliances, as well as choosing, deploying, supporting and troubleshooting Firewalls, VPNS, and IDS/IPS solutions for their networking environments.

Prerequisite: CCNA Security or CCIE

For 2014, Cisco has begun transitioning the CCNP Security requirements to use redesigned exams. To earn the CCNA Security, you may pass either the original exams (designated in Green below), or the new exams (in Blue-Green). The last day to test on the original exams is April 21, 2014.
